I have been creating an income working my high tech/high touch business from home using Internet and phone. Have you been thinking about doing this too?
I was getting close to College Graduation with some promising career options before me when I discovered myself pregnant with my first child.
Though I was a single parent I struggled with the same decisions as millions of women and men.
Should I take the job that takes me away from family and requires leaving my children in someone else’s care? Or should I try to find a way to stay home and raise my children myself?
Having received a degree in Child Psychology/Child Development because of my passion for children, it was easily clear to me that family came first and I wanted to raise my children with my presence not my absence.
Could I be creative enough to find a way to support us that would still allow me to spend the bulk of my time with them?
There simply had to be a way I could work from home, earn a great income and still be present for my children!
I started reading stories about people that were doing just that… working from home, raising their children themselves and finding a balance doing both. Understand… this was long before the Internet was common-place in people’s homes. Yet I was discovering there were many, many people making money from doing something called MLM/Network Marketing.
The more I explored it the more mixed messages I heard. Despite reading the stories of the most amazing success, people were cautioning me to beware of that stuff. Yet as I took the time to explore it for myself I quickly saw that Network Marketing seemed to fit the profile of exactly what I was looking for —
- Flexibility
- The Ability to create unlimited income
- Working with People
- Developing my management skills
So, while I was running a Childcare Center out of my home (which was great fun but had limited financial potential) I jumped right in. And I became a voracious learner. I read everything I could get my hands on, went to trainings whenever possible and started to seek out people who knew more than I and who were seeing success.
That was way back in the 1970’s. We’ve come a long way, baby! Things really started to take a turn for the better in the mid 90’s.
Today, Warren Buffet owns a Network Marketing company, Donald Trump is just launching one and he, as well as Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad, Poor Dad) have written books extolling its virtues.
Having decided to join the ranks of the successful entrepreneurs in Network Marketing I made a commitment to continuing education and selecting something that worked for me and my family; committing to apply the time, dedication and perseverance that I knew it would take to reap the rewards!
I have always wanted something in an industry that is fast-growing, recession proof, and that people use and want. I also wanted something that would provide on-going residual income. You know, something that pays me over and over for the ‘work’ I do one time!
I wanted to create multiple streams of income. My fascination with the Internet grew and continues today. Its potential and the idea that one can make an incredible income online while at home wearing flip flops and blue jeans was and is, for me, beyond resisting! Never again would I have to worry about missing a meeting because I couldn’t find a babysitter for my sons.
One thing I’m positive about is that the Internet is here to stay and it has hugely contributed to the reality that anyone with the desire can have their own successful home based business!!! Combine that with the fact that 96% of people polled want to own their own business and that most want to work from home and you have a winner!
Over the years I have investigated a lot of things, I settled on the ones that work for me and that’s what’s presented here.

Also understand this: I don’t offer get-rich-quick schemes. While you can make a LOT of money fast, it usually takes effort and consistency. But, that is the only way you will get what you truly desire.
Today I have a business that provides a great income, allows me to be my own boss, be with friends and family, take a day off when I desire, have fun celebrating relationships and still make money.
Because I work in a multi-billion dollar industry that is recession proof, fast growing and something used by everyone, I get paid while I’m with friends and family doing fun stuff… even while I sleep!
That is the benefit of residual income!
In the process I have developed amazing relationships with some of the most successful people in the world.
